Difficulties and strategies of teaching Spanish language to collegiate Chavacano learners

چکیده
Spanish-based creole, Chavacano, is widely known for its close resemblance to the actual Spanish language especially in lexicons. Its Spanish-like quality seems capture most of vocabulary language. The purpose this study was determine difficulties Chavacano speakers learning Spanish. Narrative data from eight teachers teaching southern Philippines were used analyze challenges their students, as well emerging strategies by these teachers. findings indicated that collegiate learners had trouble verb conjugation, structure, and grammar general. Additionally, observed students are “not very motivated” Notably, do not consider an important future career.
